Evan Narcisse said, “From what I played yesterday, ZombiUmight just have the most unique boss battles of any game on Nintendo’s upcoming WiiU console. That’s because I essentially got to be the boss—sending out waves of the undead to kill human beings—in Ubisoft’s cleverly asymmetrical survival horror shooter.

Saying that I was the boss was a bit of a misnomer, bonestly. I wasn’t the end-of-level bad guy that needed to get taken down to get to another part of the game. What actually happened was that I and another member of the press were facing off in ZombiU‘s competitive multiplayer. This mode lets one player use the Wii Pro controller to control a human while another uses the system’s GamePad to become a sort of zombie general.

The goal in the game’s multiplayer is to be the first person to capture an set number of flag across the map. The human Survivor side of ZombiU plays much like a typical first-person shooter. You can wield a pistol, shotgun, crossbow and other weapons to blast at the brain-eaters and when the zombies get close you, you can do a quick melee shove to give you some room.

But once they grapple onto you, one bite turns you into one of them. The only way to kill the undead abominations is to stab antiviral syringes into their necks. As you can probably guess, those syringes are going to be in short supply. It’s going to take careful movement across the blasted London terrain to get to each capture point. As a human, the action’s fast and a bit disorienting, mostly because your opponent can pepper the environment with zombies in hard-to-predict fashion. You never know if the next corner or hallway holds a zombie hungry for your cerebellum.

Playing as the Infected side in ZombiU, I got a top-down perspective of the map and heads-up display of the various different zombie types I could deploy against the Survivor. You can only place zombies on certain parts of the map, which prevents the Infected from just plopping an undead enemy right behind a Survivor. The zombie types on hand all have different abilities and uses. Guards will protect the points you’ve already secured, Hunters will seek out the Survivor wherever he is on the map and Grunts are the only shamblers who can capture the key points in the environment.

Infected players won’t be able to spam opponents with their hordes, though. You’ll only be able to spawn 10 zombies at a time and an energy counter on the left hand side of the controller screen counts down every time you spawn a zombie. Certain zombie types use more energy so you’ll need to be strategic about what kind of flesh-eater you drop into the fray.

Human Survivors are able to claim capture points faster than Infected but of course are in constant danger. Being in charge of the Infected serves as a nice showcase of Nintendo’s two-screen philosophy for the WiiU. After you look at the GamePad screen to make your moves, it’s very satisfying to look up to the bigger TV display and see your minions wreak havoc on your uninfected enemy.

There won’t be any online play for this multiplayer mode, though. Representatives from Ubisoft’s Montpelier studio said that they feel the mode works best when both players are in the same physical space able to gloat and trash talk as the tide of battle turns either way. Right now,ZombiU looks like a first-class example of the kind of inventive design ideas that Nintendo claims will be possible on the WiiU. I liked being the Zombie King and look forward to unleashing more hell when the game comes out later this year.”

In a recent interview with IGN, Miaymoto revealed that the prospect of Wii U releases for the Metroid and Star Fox series’ excited him due to the possibilities provided by the GamePad.

“With Metroid it’s very easy to imagine some interesting implementation for the Wii U,” he said. Miyamoto went on to explain that the extra screen and gyro controls provide “a lot of interesting opportunities for development, and we can bring a lot of our games to life in a completely unique way with that.”"

Lisa Eadicicco said, “Although Wii U’s ordinary online services will be free of charge, Nintendo may ask users to cough up some extra bucks. But at least we are not thinking of asking our consumers to pay more money to just casually get access to our ordinary online services. Recently, Nintendo shot down the idea of a subscription-based service similar to Microsoft’s Xbox Live, saying it didn’t fit the Wii U audience.

The Wii U has a wide variety of customers. From the ones who enthusiastically play video games to those playing more casually, who are not always interested in them but try to play a game only when it becomes a public topic or play it just during certain periods, like a year-end season and summer vacation.

It is unclear exactly which types of services Nintendo will charge for, but it doesn’t seem likely that MiiVerse activity will come with a fee. Satoru could have been referring to possible DLCs for future Wii U titles, or other types of online downloads. After all, the Wii U will be capable of supporting various types of entertainment outside of the gaming world, so Satoru could be referring to different apps and services.

Satoru also addressed concerns about those who were skeptical when it came to the non-traditional gaming consoles.

Fans and critics are still anxiously awaiting more information about how much the next-generation console will cost. Rumors have surfaced online that have yet to be confirmed by Nintendo, such as a leak by a German Amazon retailer that listed the Wii U at approximately $500.”

“Konami has announced that its Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 will be coming to the Wii U in the future. The game uses the brand new Fox Engine, which according to Konami hasn’t been optimized for the Wii U console. Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is set for release on other platforms on October 2, and we’ll probably have to wait until early 2013 for the Wii U version

So far we haven’t heard much from Konami on the Wii U front — Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 looks like the first game they have confirmed for the console. There have been rumors of a Metal Gear Solid game on the Wii U in 2013, but so far we haven’t seen anything.”

“Bozon said that WayForward really enjoyed working with Nintendo to create titles for its digital download platform, and that the studio hopes to be a part of the Wii U’s launch. When asked if the HD version of Mighty Switch Force! would include all add-on content that was released for the 3DS version, the creative director responded, “Yes, the recently released ‘Bonus Incidents’ and retry option from the N3DS version will be included in the Wii U version. We’re having a tough time putting our pencils down, so we may end up adding even more features before we’re done.

WayForward showing interest in being a part of the Wii U’s launch is certainly positive news. Additionally, the fact that the developer is bringing such a great title like Mighty Switch Force! to the console is definitely something to look forward to. Of course, the upcoming HD port is just the beginning, as WayForward has plans to deliver more content to both the 3DS and the Wii U.”

I agree with this and I feel that this game, knowing how good it was on the nintendo 3DS will be even better on the Wii U.

Only time will tell if such a small addition to the Wii U version of the game will ultimately sway us in favour of the new machine. Of course, since there’s no release date on the game yet, and we’re still not completely sure that the Wii U will be able to match the graphical capabilities of the PlayStation 3 orXbox 360, there probably aren’t too many gamers out there who would wait to see. Maybe I’ll be that guy.

“At E3 2011, Nintendo threw us for a loop when they not only announced their new system, but they in fact announced that a Super Smash Bros. game would be coming out for it, as well as the Nintendo 3DS. When E3 2012 came around, I attended the Nintendo Press Conference and eagerly awaited some sort of footage or screens from the upcomingSmash game, only to find out that there wasn’t a single mention of it anywhere.

While no videos or screenshots were shown once again, it was confirmed that this time around, Namco Bandai (or Bandai Namco depending on where you’re from) will be taking over development under the lead of Masaya Kobayashi and Yoshito Higuchi, while Masahiro Sakurai will still be acting as Game Director.”, Source from game zone

“And the Miiverse is the one actually that I believe has a very unique feature which is we put ourselves in the situation of making sure the people you can communicate with they are somehow already in a kind of community,” he added. “The community will be the Wii U owners, who will have this common interest for video games and our expectation about that is it’s going to be a way to enhance the idea of sharing information on the video game.”

Miiverse is integrated directly into the Wii U’s system menu and games allowing users to interact with one another through text, images, and video. Upon booting up the system, players will be brought into a Mii Wara Wara, a sort of gathering place for all Wii U players. It is populated by your Mii, Miis on your Wii U system, your friend’s Miis, and Miis on the Wii U that are from your country or speak your language that are playing the same games as you. It’s basically a social network exclusive only to Wii U owners…sort of like, I don’t know, Xbox LIVE or PlayStation Network. (By the way, both Xbox 360 and PS3 offer ways to connect to Facebook, just saying).
